Slipstream Brewing Named a Triple Finalist in the Inaugural Beer Championships

Slipstream Brewing has been named a finalist in three categories at the inaugural Beer Championships, with Laguna Pacific Ale, G-Force IPA and Stealth Mode Black IPA all progressing to the final stage of the national competition.

The Beer Championships launched in 2026 with a new approach to recognising Australia’s best beers. Rather than awarding a broad field of gold, silver and bronze medals, the competition selects just six finalists in each of seven beer categories.

The inaugural competition attracted 262 beers from 74 breweries around Australia. From these entries, only 42 beers earned a place in the finals, and we’re incredibly proud to have three Slipstream beers among them.

Laguna Pacific Ale

Finalist – Champion Australian Pale

Following a refresh last year, our Laguna Pacific Ale has been named alongside some of the country’s most recognised pale ales.

Refreshing, approachable and packed with flavour, Laguna represents what we aim to deliver across our core range: beers that are full of character while remaining highly drinkable.

G-Force IPA

Finalist – Champion IPA

G-Force IPA has powered its way into the final six in the Champion IPA category.

Bold, hop-driven and unapologetically full flavoured, G-Force is one of Slipstream’s signature beers and a long-time favourite among our IPA drinkers. Its place in the finals is another fantastic recognition for a beer that has been part of the Slipstream story from the beginning.

Stealth Mode Black IPA

Finalist – Champion Dark

Stealth Mode Black IPA has also secured a finalist position in the Champion Dark category.

Combining the roasted malt character and dark appearance of a traditional dark ale with the hop intensity of an IPA, Stealth Mode delivers layers of citrus, tropical fruit and pine over a smooth, restrained malt base.

As a limited-release beer competing against some exceptional dark beers from across Australia, its place in the final six is an achievement we’re particularly excited to celebrate.

The category champions will be revealed at The Beer Championships’ Champions Night on 14 October 2026.
