Slipstream Brewing Wins 10 Gold Medals at the 2026 Australian International Beer Awards

Queensland’s Slipstream Brewing has been recognised among the world’s best breweries after winning 10 Gold Medals at the 2026 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA)

Our team is absolutely STOKED to have taken home an incredible 10 GOLD medals at the 2026 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA's), one of the largest and most respected annual beer competitions in the world.

Held by Melbourne Royal, the AIBA's brings together breweries from across Australia and around the globe, with more than 2,200 beers entered from 381 breweries across 22 countries this year alone. Every beer is judged blind by an expert international panel, with entries assessed purely on technical merit, flavour, aroma, balance and style accuracy.

To receive a Gold Medal at this level is an outstanding achievement. To receive 10 in a single competition is something truly special.

In addition to the 10 Gold Medals, Slipstream also secured an incredible 35 medals overall across the competition, highlighting the consistency and depth of the brewery’s lineup across a broad range of beer styles.

These results are a huge testament to the passion, creativity and relentless pursuit of quality from our brewing team. From easy-drinking mid's and hop-forward IPAs through to complex barrel-aged beers and mixed fermentation wild ales, the results showcase the depth and versatility of what our team is producing here in Queensland.

Competing against some of the best breweries from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia and the United States, this recognition reinforces Slipstream Brewing’s position as one of Australia’s leading independent breweries.
