Gold Rush for Slipstream Brewing at the Royal Queensland Beer Awards

Our team is absolutely STOKED to have taken home two major trophies and an incredible haul of medals at the 2026 Royal Queensland Beer Awards.

Our much-loved Classic Saison claimed Champion European-Style Ale, adding another chapter to its award-winning legacy after being crowned Grand Champion Beer in 2025 and our annual celebratory release beer, Bourbon Barrel Aged Anniversary Ale VII was recognised as the Champion Hybrid Beer. 

Since 2019, the Royal Queensland Beer Awards have celebrated brewing excellence, inviting breweries from across Australia to submit their beers for blind judging by an expert panel.

Each entry is assessed purely on technical merit- flavour, aroma, mouthfeel and alignment with style, with judges unaware of the brewery behind the beer.

This year marked a record-breaking competition, with 704 beers entered from across the country.

Among the standout results, Slipstream claimed these major trophies:
